International food manufacturer and marketer with revenues in excess of $55M with operations in California and Utah. Company sold to Kellogg in November 2007.

Corporate Controller – Irvine, CA

Accomplishments:

  • Overall responsibility for the month end close process, internal and external financial reporting, and supervision of A/R, A/P and General Accounting.

  • Instrumental in working with outside auditors, bank auditors and tax accountants to complete prior fiscal year audit and current year tax schedules. Essential for complying with bank covenants.

  • Restructured Financial Reporting Package for more accurate financial reporting and timelier month end closes.

  • Restated current year financial statements to properly reflect GAAP accounting.

  • Completed due diligence work in coordination with Ernst and Young’s M&A group hired by Kellogg.

  • Due to the startup nature of the company, established and implemented all processes and procedures in the areas of Finance and Accounting, Operations, and Customer Service.

  • Presented Quarterly Financial Packages to company President and Private Investors as well as worked closely with the outside CPA firm on providing tax reporting information.
